Daniel Osen: Transitioning from the military to academia and progressing towards a thriving professional career.

Daniel Osen is a mental performance coach, keynote speaker, and researcher in performance psychology. He draws from a unique combination of experience in the Armed Forces, private sector, and elite sport, with professional focus on psychological factors such as sleep, focus, and stress.


He is currently pursuing a part-time PhD in performance psychology at the Health Sciences University in the UK. His research explores the impact of sleep, performance, and social media on elite athletes. In addition, he holds a two-year advanced education in mental training and executive brain functions from Olympiatoppen and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).


Osen supports athletes, coaches, clubs, and federations in building high-performance cultures with a strong foundation in psychological resilience.


He works with athletes in all kinds of sports, as of: golf, cross-country skiing, handball, and tennis, and is known for bridging evidence-based psychological principles with real-world, high-performance environments.

In addition to coaching and consulting, he delivers keynotes, workshops, and training sessions. He also hosts the podcast Mind Set Go, and actively shares knowledge through academic publications, teaching, and social media.

Daniel Osen is a trained police officer and currently serves in the Armed Forces. He stands at the intersection of research and applied practice – making mental training accessible, specific, and actionable for those who need it most.
